When a Herald reporter and photographer first visited the temple in 2017 it was to seek the group's response to a warning the Korean Churches Association had put out. Shincheonji now has a branch in Wellington and claims to have upwards of 200 members. The Herald revealed in 2017 that the group had opened a branch in Auckland and that warnings had been issued by church organisations about its alleged deceptive ways of courting new followers. In South Korea, Shincheonji has a following of hundreds of thousands. Great to study with you and your material. Making new “surprise” features, that you think might be useful for Korean learners. Making stories with 20 words to learn, instead of just 10.ģ. not 4, but at least 7, and that the sentences are getting harder from the first to the last).Ģ. I think it would be a tremendous help, and would make the study more enjoyable.

And with covering 500 words, it lasts really long.Īll in all, this book is a must-to-have for Korean learners, that is certain. Sometimes, for me time allows only that part to cover each day, but at least it keeps my momentum of learning. This book is also nice, because even if you have a limited time (like me :)), the 4 example sentences can be used related to each word. However, the feature, that I really love regarding this book is, that it is not just 50-100 pages, but that its really thick, providing a huge amount of precious content. Thank you so much for this book! I can mainly echo the words of the earlier commenters. I’d buy it in a heartbeat! Thanks TTMIK!! This book is so good and I will be so sad when ive finished it (almost there!) I would love another installment of this series. I have recommended this to quite a few people already and will continue to. There are some days where I want to do many lessons at once because its that addicting to study with this book. The tests also give me a reason to go back and review previous days lessons and when I ace the test its incredibly motivating. I’ve also found my reading and comprehension in hangul to be getting much faster because of the daily use of this book. The method of reading a story and then doing the activities after has been sooo incredibly helpful in learning and retaining my new vocab. It’s very straightforward and easy to accomplish each day. This book however is the most enjoyable kind of daily study I have tried so far. I have the first two levels and accompanying workbooks, as well as ‘My Weekly Vocabulary’, which have all been extremely helpful. Hands down my best purchase! ‘My First 500 Korean Words’ has been easily my favorite purchase from TTMIK so far.

Learning korean with you is so convenient and fun, thank you so much! I really appreciate your work. It’s already my second order because I love working with the TTMIK books so much. Reviews by people who have purchased this bookġ0/10.
